Putting down our roots...

This is a phrase that has been planted deep in our hearts, a challenge given by an amazing friend and father. Bishop McRae forever shaped our thinking with his challenge a couple years ago.  We had the most wonderful time doing it for 2+ years while we lived in Yorkshire...and we are working now to apply that challenge to our current situation with this move to a new town and home. Here are some bits and pieces of the past few week as we're working to "put down our roots".  (I'm still trying to figure out the format so excuse the choppy pics and captions.)

We got all our leaves up
before a big storm this weekend;
it dumped well over an inch of rain in two days.

Dan is happy to be working in the yard.

Our tiny branch has a new member now;
we attended the baptism for
Brother Dave Pinkham Saturday Oct 15th.
It was pretty wonderful.
Dan helped in the font while

President Ottoson baptized him.

Wheels of Time tractor and truck show in Richland Center
People from all over the U.S bring their wheels to display
It was really cold this Saturday so we drove around
and saw the displays from inside our warm car

Lots of history here!

Plane and Car show at the local airport.
It was a lot of fun to see despite being freezing!
Maybe Brandon or Steve will fly our family here :)

FARMERS MARKET
A favorite fall activity!
We never made it to Logan's market
so I was elated to go once this fall.
First Wisconsin brat from Oakwood Fruit Farms
Carr Valley Squeaky Cheese-YUM

Our little guy doesn't like tummy time much
but he sure posed  for this one!

We love snuggling Louis.
It only happens when he is really
tired or asleep.
Louis came on our adventures too,
but he slept through most of them!
