Very Thankful Weekend

We got to go to Indiana for Thanksgiving and visit the Wood's!!
Here is our trip in pictures. :)

Big sister graciously gave little bro a haircut :)
Hard at work preparing a most delicious meal
I kept kiddos busy while others were busy in the kitchen.
I got the fun part of the deal  :)
So ready for the turkey
Stuffed? Kiddos help you make room for dessert
wrestling buddies
Louis couldn't get enough attention,
he was so content hanging out with the cousins
Train time!

The high chair felt lonely while the Z-man was getting his tonsils out...
but Louis was happy to hold his spot till he returned.
Dan and I got to be chefs for all the meals on Friday.
Louis was pretty skeptical about how things were going to taste...

We all had such a fun time in Indiana that we didn't want to leave.
We had to say our goodbyes on Saturday though
then buckled up for the long trip home.
Louis was pretty sad to leave the cousins behind.
He slept a lot of the ride home though and we were glad.
On the ride to Indiana we passed bunches of blinking red eyes in the night.
Turns out there were a few miles of giant windmills on the plain.
It reminded us a little of the drive home to Wyoming.
The little man got tired of riding in his chair...
We needed some extra wiggle time...
I didn't succeed in getting a good picture of our time in Chicago,
because we were trying to get un-lost.
I've never been in a city like it before.
I'm grateful we don't live there.
Richland Center is much easier to navigate.

I wear my Sunglasses at Night

I like taking lots of pics of this kiddo...
and Gramma's and Grandpa's don't get to see him in person...
so I'm posting all of these!
Sorry some of them are blurry.

Weekend at a Glance

Here is a little about the fun we've been up to!

 LOVES daddy's tickles
Pulled out the bouncy chair, and his little feet just slide
across the floor... but he's pretty entertained!

Bug found his reflection in the mirror and we have a lot of fun
smiling at his happy face! Just finished bath time.

Burton Street is our new home.
We've been enjoying walks outside in the nice weather.
We have lots of nice neighbors and a pretty church down the street.

Our "patio" and backyard.
Penny likes this little piece of squirrel chasing heaven.
Back yard lawn...

Finally finished raking the leaves and mowed the lawn.
I planted a bunch of bulbs to bloom in the spring (I hope!).
We're ready for winter :)
I mean the lawn is ready, I'm enjoying the lovely warm weather!

We visited Bro and Sister Porth on Saturday
and they gave us a tour of their town Wisconsin Dells.
They are kind and happy people and love Louis

Priceless faces at diaper changing time!
One word...blowout...

We can't get enough of this little guy

Family Fun with the Wood's

The Wood's family came to visit and we had the most wonderful time with them!!
We talked them into a trip to Madison on Saturday. Here are pics from a really fun weekend.
Hope they had as much fun as we did. We can't wait to see them for Turkey Day!

Dan helped me write the captions :)

Dan and Zachary became fast friends!

Anxiously awaiting to talk to Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins on Skype!

Cousin Alex got the most smiles out of Louis all weekend

Louis loved hanging out with his cousins!
We visited Peck's Farmer's Market and Animal Zoo

Popcorn anyone? I sure love popcorn!!
Any color you could ask for here...
The squash and pumpkins are pretty fantastic  in WI

Pumpkin anyone? Perhaps a hernia instead? :)

Good old family fun, and everything it takes to get there as well.
We love the Wood family and are glad they are fairly close by - 8 hour drive.

Capitol Building
Lake Mendota bordering Madison

No matter the size of the house, there is ALWAYS room for one more!

Nothing quite like a beautiful Sunday afternoon walk
and small detour to the Kouskop Park

Mapleside Footbridge

We couldn't help but enlist the help of some great and excited runners
to help us deliver our secret "you have been booed" goodies to our neighbors.

One of our favorite activities - sitting around talking
and enjoying each others company
